The ceiling of the cave is decorated with a checkered pattern. There are about 30 plots from the story of Buddha’s life carved into the cave, which tell the entire story from the birth of Buddha to how he bacame a monk and then the Buddha. This is a new creative work of eastern Gandhara buddhist art, and it is rare in existing buddhist art.
